The Bluestone House

blue stone houseOur spring started out with an exciting remodel to the Historic Bluestone House located beneath the fire tower in down town Helena, Montana!

*The actual history of the Bluestone House is a mysterious one. It was built as a private residence in 1890, but it appears from records that none of the various owners of the house ever actually lived in it.  Despite being damaged in the 1935 earthquakes, and under going construction in 1970, the original structure has remained mostly intact.*

We are excited and proud to have been chosen as the company to add the latest improvement to the building!

The addition of a new steel deck!

We began demolition of the north facing deck the beginning of May. The old wooden beams were replaced with steal I beams, the joist were replaced with new treated joist, and top quality Ipe wooden decking was used on the surface. By the middle of June the job was complete!

You can find more information on the Bluestone House at www.helenahistory.org/bluestone_house.htm. Or stop by and see the finished project for yourself! Located, at 80 South Warren, Helena, Mt.
